Audit Chamber: Russian GDP may fall by more than 3% in 2015
MOSCOW, Mar 23 (PRIME) -- The Russian economy may contract by more than 3% than forecast by the government, but will be closer to the figures seen during the 2009 crisis, the Audit Chamber said in a conclusion to the budget amendments seen by PRIME on Monday.
“However, if in 2009 GDP growth slowed down by 7.8% against 2008, the adjusted forecast envisages a slump of GDP by a mere 3% in 2015 against 2014. The Audit Chamber points out that under a domestic demand forecast the slump in GDP in 2015 may be higher than expected,” it said.
